Hello friends. Sorry for not posting in a while. I have five drafts in various states of completion, but there’s just been too much going on to complete them. While I work on those I figured I would write a short post of random stuff today.
I just put the finishing touches on our District 14 newsletter. The Legislative District 14 Committee of the Idaho Republican Party meets once a month and our purpose is to elect Republican candidates to the Legislature and then support them by acting as conduits of information between them and the voters.
As secretary, I volunteered to coordinate the newsletter, so check it out below and subscribe to stay abreast of what’s going on in LD14:
I took some time earlier this month to record a new episode of What’s Happening Gem State, talking about my impressions from the 2023 session:
My colleagues Niklas Kleinworth and Anna Miller sat down for a discussion about how public money is being used to drive deviant ideas in public education. Check it out for a primer on what is really happening in our public school system, and how the Legislature can curtail it:
One of the best political commentators working today is Auron MacIntyre, who was recently hired by Glenn Beck’s The Blaze. His most recent video is a masterclass in how the left uses constant revolution and conflict to secure their own power:
Another great commentator is Jesse Kelly, who joined Tim Pool’s show last week. The whole two hours is worth watching, but I’ve linked to a specific timestamp where Jesse explains why we shouldn’t get distracted by national politics but should instead focus on local politics such as city council and state legislature:
Recently John Doyle, who you might call fairly right-wing, made a video about what the indictment and arrest of Donald Trump means for America going forward. It’s a realistic yet optimstic take about what we are going to have to do to save our country:
Finally, an acquaintance has put together a local news aggregation site that should be at the top of your bookmarks. Idaho.one brings you the latest headlines from Idaho Dispatch, IFF, Redoubt News, Stop Idaho RINOs, the Idaho Tribune, and more, including Gem State Substack. I urge you to check it out and make it part of your daily drive. This is how we push back against local corporate media’s radical left wing narrative - by building our own media ecosystem.
I’ll be back soon with more in-depth essays about politics and culture in Idaho. As always, thank you for your support!
Thank you for all this, especially the link to Idaho One https://idaho.one/!
