Last night, Governor Brad Little did the right thing and signed House Bill 71, protecting children from puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and mutilating surgeries.
Leftists are predictably outraged.
Leftists will never admit what these drugs and surgeries will actually do. They handwave away the risks of puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones, falsely claiming they are 100% reversible. They refer to the mutilation of healthy body parts as lifesaving gender affirming healthcare.
The truth is very different. These are the sorts of things you’d expect to read about in stories from the most evil regimes in history. If Dr. Mengele had done what these transgender clinics do on a daily basis it would be added to his list of crimes against humanity. I wrote about the graphic details last summer:
Let the leftists cry. They will sue, and they will lose, because we have an Attorney General who is passionate about defending the laws and values of our state. They will threaten to leave - I say let them; we could even crowdfund the cost of a U-Haul to make sure they leave and never come back. We are building a culture of life in this state, a culture that values children rather than seeing them as pawns in a revolution or blank slates upon which to experiment.
No matter what else happens this year, the passage of House Bill 71 is a major victory for those who believe in traditional values, those who believe that human beings are made in God’s image, those who value life.
I thank the Idaho Family Policy Center for instigating and shepherding this bill through the Legislature.
I thank the Idaho Freedom Foundation who, before I came on board, invited Chloe Cole to Idaho to share her firsthand testimony.
I thank Rep. Bruce Skaug and Sen. Lori Den Hartog for sponsoring the bill, as well as everyone who voted for it. I thank Gov. Brad Little for doing the right thing and signing it into law.
The way we win, the way we restore the spirit of Western Civilization that made America great again in the first place is by promoting laws that support our values. We cannot legislate morality, but we can use the force of law to protect the most vulnerable among us. We can inculcate a culture of life from the top down and the bottom up.

This is the same solution Ammon Bundy proposed in his campaign video described here:

Let kids be kids. Let trans kids make decisions after they have grown into their intact adult bodies, had time to navigate the discomfort everyone experiences during puberty, and are old enough to give true informed consent. That’s all we ask.
