Hello friends, I hope you have all had a great weekend. We are counting down the days until Christmas and the new year. I have several topics and essays I’m working on right now, but today you’ll have to settle for a smörgåsbord of ideas and tidbits.
First, if you have not subscribed to the What’s Happening family of podcasts on YouTube, Rumble, or your favorite podcast app, go do that now. Not only do I have my own weekly show, What’s Happening Gem State, but Josh, Kirsten, Erin, Lauren, Lucky, Matt, and soon Senator Tammy Nichols herself all publish content there. Check them out at idahospodcast.com.
There are new episodes of What’s Happening Gem State every Wednesday morning. Here is the latest:
Auron MacIntyre, one of the most intelligent right wing figures on Twitter today, has a new gig for The Blaze. Here is his debut article, looking at what the Twitter Files say about the left and their pursuit of power.
Auron also spoke to longtime conservative commentator Mark Hemingway about the issue:
Paige Willey is a veteran of the Trump Administration and has been producing a podcast where she talks about the ways in which our government is selling out the American people. Her most recent episode is a talk with Matt Polumbo, who wrote a book exposing how George Soros is pulling the strings of so many maladies in our society today. It is well worth your time - click here to listen.
Scott Presler has done perhaps more than any other single person in America to register Republican voters and deliver Republican victories. Like many activists, he has grown disillusioned with RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel, and wants your help to elect Harmeet Dhillon to that position instead. He has contact info for all 168 delegates to the RNC, including Idaho’s representatives - Chairwoman Dorothy Moon, National Committeeman Damond Watkins, and National Committeewoman Cindy Siddoway. If you think it’s time for a change at the top of the GOP, take a few minutes to let them know. Click here to visit Scott’s site.
This is not political, but Linus Sebastian of Linus Tech Tips visited Boise recently for a tour of the Micron facility. The video walks through the process of manufacturing computer memory, and Linus has the opportunity to craft his own stick of RAM. My children and I have long enjoyed watching Linus’ content - it is nearly always educational and fun.
Finally, something tasty. If you were around in the 1990s, you might remember daytime talk show host Jenny Jones. It turns out that she had a little cooking show on YouTube about a decade ago. If you were at the Ada County Republican Christmas Party last week you might have tried my braided cinnamon raisin bread, which I learned from her channel:
I will have new content very soon. I have several essays in the hopper, and I’m editing Episode 7 of What’s Happening Gem State at this very moment. As always I appreciate your support, and I hope you all have a great week.
Really enjoyed this column, Brian.
I shared the action item -- love 💕 action items -- in support of Harmeet Dhillon. And I watched the delightful video about making cinnamon bread -- yum! Especially enjoyed Jenny’s sparkly personality and her colorful kitchen mixer, bowls, utensils, apron, and oven mitts. Of course, I’m too lazy to make a special-occasion bread to celebrate shampooing my hair or watching paint dry, but watching her do it was just as good.
Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.
