Politics is heating up too
Someone flipped a switch from “winter” to “spring” and all of a sudden it’s 70 degrees out. I’m not complaining!
The 2024 legislative session is on its final stretch while the legislative primary is just getting started. I’m working on something at the Gem State Chronicle called the Primary Pulse that I intend to be a one-stop shop for information about every legislative candidate in the state. Just beware voters: A candidate's "statement" doesn't necessarily reflect his/her voting record. A great way to find out an incumbent's voting record is to visit Think Liberty Idaho (https://thinklibertyidaho.org/legislator-scores/) and Idaho Freedom Foundation (https://index.idahofreedom.org/). Also check Sunshine Idaho to review the funding sources (https://sunshine.sos.idaho.gov/).
And, of course, make every effort to meet and greet the candidates IN PERSON. Ignore the mailers and social media gossip. Ask direct hard-ball questions. Make sure you like the answers.
