HEAR, HEAR! The only "science" followed was "political science". Vote them out with a vengeance. Press for prosecution!

Beautifully stated, Brian. We did not forgive the Nazis. We held trials in Nuremberg. We said “Never again.” And yet, here we are -- AGAIN! People must be held accountable for their actions, for persecuting and ostracizing those who disagreed, for forcing dangerous measures on a trusting population, for suppressing the truth that would have allowed individuals to make their own decisions. The United States and the world have descended into tyranny, using COVID as the excuse. We must not let this stand.

Here’s another take on this topic by A Midwestern Doctor, another excellent Substack author: https://amidwesterndoctor.substack.com/p/dissecting-the-deceptive-plea-for

And, just to clarify differences between Ammon Bundy and. Brad Little, note that Governor Brad Little locked down Idaho (though he now denies it) and imposed most of the inhumane measures you mentioned. Ammon Bundy spoke out against all the draconian measures early on and continues to do so. See these links: https://www.votebundy.com/issue/covid

Brian, as usual a through and thought provoking piece.

1. The term 'amnesty' is derived from the Greek amnesia meaning forgetfulness or oblivion. It refers to a grant of forgiveness for a past criminal offense by a sovereign power, usually for an offense committed against the state (such as treason, sedition, or rebellion).

It is amazing how politicians have diluted and misappropriated this term. For me personally, I am stuck on treason, sedition or rebellion. Those responsible for the tidal wave of covid and its intended and unintended consequences, (and yes we know who they are), should not be given the kindness of amnesty, or for that matter a Nuremberg-esk trial. Look to any "news source" these days and you can see the results of the non-amnesty we are affording criminals of all ilk from boarder crossers to child molesters and murderers. To coins phrase...how's that workin out for ya? In addition the idea of a plethora of trials ad infinitem would simply be a further insult to this planet as a whole.

My faith consoles part of me that knows that there will be ultimate judgement for this vomitus mass of guilty individuals and their organizations. But the very base side of my humanness wants an Old Testament treatment: The most common method mentioned is by stoning, followed by burning, and then by sword (once). There is a verse that mentions hanging; however, it isn't clear whether this is a separate method of killing, or something done with the body after it was dead.

Ok, there I said it, out loud and I'm too old to care what anyone thinks.

I am with you, I don't care what anyone thinks either. There is a war and we were not informed about it until it was too late. As soon as these perpetrators are found guilty, I will provide the stones. Politicians need to be held accountable, even Andrew Cuomo for all the people he killed with his malfeasance. I just watched this Glenn Beck podcast https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-d3jFIGxdQ&t=19s&ab_channel=GlennBeck and the depth or evil and depravity by the elites is even worse than I even thought.

It's good to know there are other like minded people. I just saw the GB Podcast as well. I don't think there are enough stones!

You’re killing me, Brian! You are so right on with all of these points. And SO close to saying the words - Lockstep Little messed up. He does not deserve anyone’s endorsement. Demand his accountability. Do not just follow orders and ignore this glaring issue in our state. Little does not deserve the endorsement of the Idaho GOP. Your position as PC should not be to give cover to people like him. Accountability is what Idaho needs. I am so thankful Bundy kept the receipts and is sharing Little’s draconian Covid actions. Integrity matters.

I was calling out the governor for the lockdowns by the second post on this Substack way back in January: https://gemstate.substack.com/p/governor-little-or-king-brad

Being a PC does not mean that one swears allegiance to a politician like Brad Little.

Nay. It means that one swears allegiance to the platform of the party, and the party's nominee just happens to be the best option that the current process could come up with at this time.

Thank you. Yes, I understand Brian’s role. I am challenging him to take a stronger stand on not endorsing Little. He is doing a great job with these articles, but we need people like Brian to reject Little as a conservative. I think the whole GOP must do a better job of differentiating between R’s and conservative R’s. Actively state that these fake R’s do not merit endorsement merely bc they picked the right party affiliation.

More importantly, a bigger issue with your claim that Little is the best option the current process came up with is that PC’s are being used by liberals to get their leftist R in when such groups are actively endorsing Little and changing their affiliation to put their thumb on the scale. If this is the system you think works, we will march on with the same old same. This system needs bold individuals to hold politicians accountable.

Not at all. I think the system desperately needs some improvements.

Thanks for your kinds words.

In the 1st Amendment spirit of the free exchange of ideas, I offer the following: Trying to fight off a hundred year pandemic isn't "totalitarianism." It's concern for public health. TRUMP shut the country down at the pandemic's beginning. (Trump, not Joe Biden.) Because he was being told to by countless medical health professionals, aka, people who go to medical school and do residencies for years to save lives and protect and enhance public health. Add Brad Little to the list of red state governors who put pandemic restrictions into place. If you guys think Gov. Little is a nutty lefty totalitarian who wants to rule our lives, well, that's not a rational argument. As for "Dr." Cole, he is a pathologist. Listening to him dispense advice about pandemics, vaccinations, immunity, and epidemiology makes about as much sense as seeing your dentist because you have cancer. Cheers!
