Very well said Brian. I am on the rules committee and brought this same rule forward 5 years ago. It did not make it then. And I was not the first person to bring it forward.

What your article doesn't mention directly, is that these three groups still have a seat at the table. They can still make motions and discuss matters, they only are losing a vote. It's not that they are being removed. What this will do is make it so that only party officers who were voted into positions on the executive board by their local republican Committees or by the delegates of the republican convention will be be voting members of the executive committee. The three groups will still have a seat and a voice, just not a vote.

Mr. Silver paints a very disingenuous picture with his editorial.

This is THE most thoughtful response I could have imagined to the inaccurate and biased articles Daniel released into the public domain just prior to the summer meeting in Challis. Demonizing the IDGOP in the manner he did is going to do what exactly to help Republicans???
