Hello friends, this is just a quick note to let you know that I have been invited to contribute articles to the Idaho Freedom Foundation, specifically about what is going on in our capital city. It is a tremendous honor to be asked to write for an organization like the IFF. They work tirelessly to inform voters and citizens about the goings-on in our government all in the name of broadening the cause of freedom.
In this initial piece, I took a look at the proposed 2023 budget for the City of Boise, the priorities it represents, and asked if it truly reflects the desires of the citizens of that city.
Prior to debating the new budget last month, the Boise City Council resolved that city police should not enforce Idaho's abortion ban, which takes effect in August. This gives you an idea of their priorities.
In the subsequent discussion about the budget, McLean said, “Budgets reflect the values of the community.” Councilmember Holli Woodings elaborated that their top priorities were affordable housing and climate action.
Boise’s population was estimated to have grown a mere 0.82% from 2021 to 2022, however the proposed budget for fiscal year 2023 grew more than 10% to $306 million. How are the priorities of the council expressed in this budget?
I invite you to read the whole thing. Follow the Idaho Freedom Foundation to see my future articles, as well as work by other erudite champions of freedom such as Wayne Hoffman, Dustin Hurst, Ron Nate, Anna Miller, and many more!
YAY! I read your piece for IFF and it was spot on. They are blessed to have you as the need for exposure these days is paramount! Keep up the good work!
So glad to see you joining IFF as another erudite champion of freedom.
Boise has gone full woke, and soon will follow Portland, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Denver, etc. if citizens don't stop it. Most of the aforementioned cities are now singing the blues: abandoned by citizens who cannot take it any more, or LEFT to rot to the detriment of the poor souls who cannot escape. The inflated budgets are suffering too, since taxpayers are leaving in droves. If citizens here don't wake up, first Boise will fall, then all of Idaho will follow.
Keep on fighting the good fight, Brian. Thank you for being a strong and rational voice for freedom and sanity. We need Idaho and especially Boise citizens to wake up from their stupor, and truth to power before only power exists.
