As a former WA State school board member your assessment of teacher unions is spot on. It’s worse in blue states that force teachers to pay dues out of their taxpayer funded salaries that are funneled back to democrats. It’s a circle of corruption that uses taxpayer dollars to fund democrat power. Thank God Idaho is a right to work state and teachers can avoid these forced dues payments.
Even after the Janus decision few teachers opt out of forced dues payments because of union pressure placed upon them.
I’ve seen this union in action and I can attest they are the people’s and their children’s enemy.
I’m convinced that education won’t improve in America until the influence of the teachers union is greatly diminished.
I’ll definitely be watching.
