Secure our elections from outside funded propositions. Not sure how, but it needs to happen.

Repeal the dang grocery tax, reduce the budget and cut unconstitutional programs.

School choice.

Work on ways to restore Idaho Sovereignty over Federal lands. This is a long term issue, but we’ve got to start somewhere if we’re going to save our forests and our wildlife.

That should keep everyone pretty busy. 😁

Initiate School Choice legislation, be it public, charter, or private school education for all grades!!!

Grocery Tax, Protection from Federal incineration of the Idaho lands, and more light on Health and Welfare in a sane manner, which would protect children, rather than big Pharma.

1. Pass a resolution to go on the 2026 ballot for a constitutional change prohibiting Ranked Choice Voting.

2. Toughen the statute resulting from the diluted Library Bill that we finally passed last session; teachers and librarians who are utilizing pornography in the classroom should be held accountable.

3. Pass the previously-defeated bill to allow school personnel with enhanced concealed carry permits to carry concealed on school grounds.

4. Cut all monies to k-12 and to universities/colleges related to DEI, CRT, etc.; do a deep cut on other waste in our education system.

5. Add a "definitions" section to our Defense of Life Act (our abortion law) to define medically necessary procedures performed such as D&Cs following a miscarriage, etc. to eliminate the excuses from doctors who refuse said procedures claiming they will get in legal trouble due to the abortion law if they perform such non-abortion procedures.

6. Pass school choice--ESAs or something!

7. Follow the lead of SWDH and put prohibitions on covid-19 "vaccinations." (Work with RFK Jr in the upcoming Trump administration to hopefully get these products completely taken off the market, and to remove the non-liability of the drug companies who make and promote these products.)

8. Cut waste in our IDHW!

I could come up with a lot more, but those are some of the most important ones to me.

1. Overturn Obergefell in our state. I’ve seen a draft floating around from Mass Resistance. Senator Ben Toews has a copy.

2. Stop libraries from skirting the law to move explicit books from children’s section; including flyers that tell where to find such books as was found in Boise Public Library.

3. Stop Lava Ridge and take back Federal Lands. No becoming s Slave State to California.

4. Stop illegal immigrants entering Idaho.

5. Repeal Grocery tax.

Have our Grand Old Party put into legislation a bill to establish a "TOD" (Transfer On Death) law within the state so our beneficiaries are not subjected to the probate debacle system. My father did this in Minnesota for his family, it was painless.

founding

1. Real fiscal conservatism - Reduce the scope, size and resulting expenditures of state gov’t…and taxes, maybe in reverse order. Do we already have a balanced budget law, if nut, that is critical.

2. Election integrity, including robust voter roll maintenance

3. Illegal immigration (whatever the state can do) combined with reduced dependence on various forms of welfare for citizens to capable people back into the workforce (related - is there a way for the state to put Idahoans first, over foreign nationals, with the significant hirings expected in tech and in agriculture)

3. School choice

4. Beyond the current executive order, pass a law regarding males in female sports, bathrooms, etc. for any event occurring in our state.

5. Strengthen abortion law.

6. Term limits

Many good ideas already listed.

A minor thing, but get rid of the state-run liquor stores. They are poorly stocked and don't seem to be an appropriate role for the state.

Limit the power of the state to do lockdowns, including making them more time-limited.

Protection for homeowners from squatters. Not a problem yet, but stay ahead of it.

Property Tax. It is interesting that there was such a widespread backlash to the proposal for a tax on unrealized capital gains, as if this was some sort of novel idea. Most people seem to believe, and everyone I talked to about thinks that tax is ridiculous. I submit to you that our property tax system in Idaho is exactly that since it levies the tax on the presumed increase in value of a property that the owner has not realized. Thanks for your consideration of this issue.

In addition to all of the really good ideas already posted:

1. Further restrict ballot initiatives (is there a way to stop them altogether?)

2. No welfare for illegal immigrants

Butch,

Have legislature address federal and judicial overreach of Idaho's game management.

1. Reduce government spending and welfare.

2. Increase the vote threshold for ballot initiatives to 75%, or do something similar that will not allow constant ballot initiatives that we have to spend time and money fighting off.

3. Pass laws that make life miserable for illegal aliens in Idaho. Disincentivize them from moving and living here.

4. Pass a resolution making June Traditional Families Month.

5. Pass laws more clearing defining and restricting sexual dances in public to eliminate public drag shows.

6. Repeal the Malicious Harassment Law that is currently being used by some municipalities to chill free speech.

7. School Choice

8. Allow teachers to carry firearms in class.

9. Pass a law that stops democrats from switching parties to vote in Republican primaries.

10. Make gold and silver legal tender.
